Current Availability
As of Friday, March 19 Goldeen is closed for custom and complex commissions. She is open for brush pen sketches and all quote requests.

Accepting Orders
These commissions are Artist Choice or semi-customizable and are priced at a flat rate. Orders are reviewed and, if accepted, an invoice will be sent. You can check the pricing guide and read Goldeen’s Terms of Service for more details.

These commissions are fully customizable and so the prices have a greater range. You can check the pricing guide to get an idea of how much your idea will cost, but you’ll need to submit a quote request for an official price. Payment plans are available for commissions over $200. Flat Rates
These rates are for specific types of drawings that are either Artist Choice (client provides a simple prompt like an animal or concept and Goldeen gets to chose what/how to draw it) or Artistic Liberty (client requests a specific subject with a description and references, but Goldeen gets to put her own spin on it). They do not include sketch approvals or progress pics. This allows Goldeen to work faster and charge less.
Artist Choice and Artistic Liberty commissions are recommended for clients who want a great piece of art that fully expresses Goldeen’s style and creativity.

Starting Flat Rates – Artist Choice/Artistic Liberty
- Sketch – Brush Pen on Lokta (quartersheet) – $25/$35
- Study – Brush Pen or Pencil on Bristol (9×12) – $50/$75
- Finished Drawing – Brush Pen or Pencil on Bristol (9×12) – $100/$125
- Color Portrait – Colored Pencil or Watercolor on Bristol (6×6) – $200/$250
Flat Rate Add-Ons
- Character detail (tattoos, jewelry, etc.) – $25-$50
- Full avian wings – $50-$75
- Background detail (trees, river, specific scene, etc.) – $50-$75
Custom Rates
These rates apply to fully custom orders of any size, medium, and/or subject. They include reference matching, sketch approvals, progress pics, and a final revision pass if needed. Additional revisions can be requested but may cost extra. Custom orders also include client interviews and feedback to get it looking just right, as well as domestic shipping of un-framed originals.
Custom orders are recommended for clients who have a very specific idea they want illustrated and are willing to spent the time and money to have it carefully visualized.
Note that the prices below are examples only. To get the price of your commission please fill out a quote request or send Goldeen an email with a description of your project.
Starting Prices for Custom Orders
- Color, single character (any medium), simple background – $300 +
- Color, detailed background or setting or multiple characters – $600+
- Color, large (11×14+ canvas), and/or detailed setting and multiple characters – $800+.
Custom Add-Ons
- Up to three sketch revisions – included
- One final revision – included
- Additional revisions – $25-$50+ per round
Framing and Shipping Options
Frames can be added to your commission for the cost of materials and labor, plus any extra shipping fees.
All originals ship USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Shipping is added to Flat Rate commissions but included with unframed Custom Orders. Goldeen ships her art worldwide.
Courier shipping is available on request.
Regardless, all clients receive a high resolution (print quality) scan of their artwork.
Licensing Fees
The prices listed above do not included exclusive reproduction rights, commercial reproduction rights, sub-licensing rights, etc. (They do include non-exclusive reproduction rights.) If you want to commission art for use in your video game or on your book cover, or you wish to hold exclusive reproduction rights, please indicate that on your order and she will incorporate that into your quote.
If you would like to license an existing piece that Goldeen has already created, you need only pay the licensing fee. Most of Goldeen’s original art is available to be licensed. Please send her an email with the piece of art you’d like to use, and what you’d like to use it for.
Licensing fees are priced on a sliding scale depending on use and the party doing the licensing. They can be anywhere from $25 to $100+
